Kelara Spa

Logo Design and Branding

This was a very nice and interesting task. The drawing process of this logo was both pleasure and fun. The legend about the girl Kelara was the inspiration and with full freedom to create something special for a brand-new Spa Center named after this legendary young woman. Beautiful, young and ancient looking - she had to look special like a goddess.

The legend about Kelara

The legend says that two young people met at the Black Sea coast and established a settlement.
People found their cures for illnesses from them and also asked for advices of how to have healthy, beautiful and silky skin. One day, a Roman patrician called Marc turned off his road. He suffered from a mysterious skin disease and was told to find a local girl called Kelara, who was a disciple of the Thracian goddess Ariana and had the talent to know all healing herbs. She made herbal tea and tinctures for slender silhouette and smooth skin. Kelara gave Marc a magic balm that cured his illness in a short time. The fresh sea air, hot water and healing herbs helped Marc to forget about the insidious disease. He gave the Thracian girl his heart. They fell in love, people spoke of for a long time. They both established a hospital which was visited by patients from all over the world. They all sought advice and cure for their illnesses and how to enjoy the beauty and energy of the nature.
The Kelara Spa Center was built on this ancient place at Black Sea coast near Varna and Kamchiya river.

Value

A logo is often the fastest way to build brand recognition. It is the easiest way to consistently apply a visual brand, and is usually the most powerful single visual element or verbal brand asset companies use, apart from their name. We tried to import these values to the project and we are happy with the outcome, but only time will show if this was successful.

We often have advertising agencies contacting us about certain projects and this was one of these cases, where a well-known advertising agency in Varna contacted us for our help and inspiration.
